ABL Life, Employee Lecture on 'Finding Happiness in an Anxious and Uncertain Era'

ABL Life announced on the 13th that it held a morning lecture titled "Finding Happiness in an Anxious and Uncertain Era" for its executives and employees at its headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul on the 12th.


This morning lecture was conducted by inviting Professor Kim Tae-hoon, a psychology professor at Gyeongnam University and a cognitive psychology Ph.D. from Ohio State University, USA. Professor Kim gave a lecture using various examples on the importance of securing sleep time, communication methods in low-context societies, generational conflicts and their causes, and the reasons why one must find their own happiness boosters. Professor Kim said, "Happiness and satisfaction should be tools, not goals," adding, "After a hard day’s work, having small happiness boosters you like, such as a refreshing glass of beer or sweet ice cream, helps you continue your daily life without getting exhausted." After the lecture, a lucky draw and quiz events were also held for the executives and employees.

ABL Life’s morning lectures are held once a month at 8 a.m. as part of the employee competency enhancement program. Experts from various fields are invited to provide practical job skills and market insights. Lectures related to the company’s key strategies are continuously operated.


An employee who attended the lecture said, "Through today’s lecture, I was able to learn practical ways to find happiness even in an uncertain future," and added, "I want to develop my own happiness boosters as I live my daily life, focusing on present value rather than future value, and improve my quality of life."


Lee Sang-yoon, Head of Human Resources at ABL Life, said, "The morning lectures, which support both the competency enhancement and emotional well-being of employees, are receiving positive responses from staff, so we plan to continue operating them," and added, "We will continue to invite experts on various topics to provide insights."
