[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Busan City will hold an opening ceremony for the Kakao Enterprise Cloud Innovation Center at Dongseo University Centum Campus on the afternoon of the 29th and begin full-scale operations.
The opening ceremony will be attended by Kim Yoon-il, Deputy Mayor for Economic Affairs of Busan City, Seo Bo-guk, Vice President of Kakao Enterprise, and Jung Moon-seop, Director of Busan Information Industry Promotion Agency.
The Cloud Innovation Center was established as a result of a business agreement signed in February between the city and Kakao Enterprise to create a digital innovation ecosystem, and it is located at Dongseo University Centum Campus.
The center plans to operate ▲ innovation programs to accelerate digital transformation of local traditional companies ▲ membership programs to discover and nurture startups ▲ regular cloud education, mentoring for enrolled students, and experiential internships.
Seo Bo-guk, Vice President of Kakao Enterprise, said, “Busan, which has various industrial infrastructures, is a city full of potential for digital innovation,” and added, “We will strive to grow together with local companies in Busan through cloud and artificial intelligence, the foundation of the 4th Industrial Revolution era.”
Kim Yoon-il, Deputy Mayor for Economic Affairs of the city, said, “We will accelerate Busan’s digital transformation by cooperating with technology-leading companies through the Cloud Innovation Center and focus our capabilities on supporting corporate growth.”
