Korean actor Kim Moo-yeol has decided to join the army soon to recover his honor damaged by rumors regarding his illegal exemption from the military duty.

Kim’s agency Prain TPC announced on its website Thursday indicating his and the firm’s stance on the Military Manpower Administration’s [MMA] re-examination on Kim’s exemption which he got two years ago due to family issues.

“Above all, I deeply apologize for all the worries and concerns I have brought against my will. The last few months have been really painful,” Kim began the statement.

“But I want to come clean that I’ve never done anything to be ashamed regarding the military service issue. I followed MMA’s progress and accepted the outcome. I did my best not to escape from my duty.”

“I’ve never done anything wrong but I started to think that fulfilling the mandatory military service is perhaps not related to it. I’m honorable for myself, but I don’t want to be involved in any further rumors so I’ve decided to join the army as soon as possible,” Kim said, wrapping up his confession.

The talent firm further supported from Kim’s stance, claiming it will require the MMA’s official apology for disordered administration.

In addition to that, the company made it clear it will continue to reestablish Kim’s reputation without mentioning any reference to Kim’s enlistment.
