Korean actor Kim Nam-gil has been cast in Korean director Yoon Jae-goo’s next film project.
An official of his agency Star J Entertainment told the magazine over the phone Tuesday that Kim will play one of the male leads in “The Man Who Runs Backwards” [translated title], scheduled to crank in mid-October.
The official explained that the reason for selecting Kim to star in the upcoming thriller pic is because the actor seemed very interested in the scenario.
Korean actress Jung Yu-mi of tvN's "In Need of romance" has also been rumored to star in the upcoming movie but nothing has been set yet, an official from her agency fantagio told the magazine this afternoon.
Meanwhile, the film's production company Dong-A Export has not yet revealed its detailed plot and all main cast members of the action flick.
Kim made his acting debut in 2003 and has since starred in several dramas such as "Be Strong Geum Soon" (MBC, 2005), "Goodbye Solo" (KBS2, 2006) and "Lovers" (SBS, 2006).
The heartthrob gained high popularity after playing the role of Bidam in "Queen Seon-deok" (MBC, 2009) opposite top Korean actress Ko Hyun-jung.
