Top rock band FTIsland's new Japanese single has taken off on a smooth start, recording fare sales to place within the top ten of Oricon's chart.
Oricon’s official website showed Thursday that FTIsland's eighth Japanese single “TOP SECRET,” which went on sale in the country on August 8, debuted at No. 5 on its daily chart.
The single lists songs "Beloved," "Here" and the title track "TOP SECRET," while their latest release is the follow-up to their second full-length Japanese album "20 twenty."
FTIsland -- Lee Hong-gi, Choi Jong-hoon, Song Seung-hyun, Choi Min-hwan and Lee Jae-jin -- broke into the local music scene with their first full-length album "Cheerful Sensibility" in 2007.
The boys expanded their singing career into Japan in 2008 and have since released several Japanese albums such as "Prologue of FTISLAND," "Five Treasure Island" and "20 twenty."
Having finished their performance on Mezamashi Live hosted by Fuji TV in Tokyo on July 28, the “Severely” singers are set to hold live concerts in Seoul on September 1 and 2.
