Actress Kim Ok-vin has signed with talent agency Mask Entertainment, the firm said on Wednesday.
The news came through a press release by Mask which also manages the careers of actors Jung Bo-suk, Park Sung-woon, Kim Sung-oh and Oh Hyun-kyung.
"We will not be sparing in our efforts to support Kim Ok-vin with our organized system in order to further her acting work," Mask was quoted as saying in the statement.
Kim remarked, "I'm happy and excited to meet a new partner and I'm looking forward to meeting with my fans through a good project soon."
Kim, who was first discovered in 2004 in an Internet beauty contest, appeared in several films and TV dramas before getting her breakthrough role in "Thirst", which won the Jury Prize at Cannes two years ago.
Her role as a lonely housewife who falls in love with a vampire in the film by critically acclaimed director Park Chan-wook also won her the award for best actress at Spain's Sitges International Film Festival.
She recently wrapped up filming of movie "The Corpse is Back" (translated title) which is set for a release in the first half of 2012.
