Korean girl group KARA and duo Davichi both claimed their first honors on televised music programs over the weekend.
KARA, who gave their comeback performance this week, took their first win on KBS' Friday music show "Music Bank" with latest dance tune "STEP" while Davichi received their first Mutizen award on SBS' Sunday show "Inkigayo" with their ballad "Don't Say Goodbye."
Other contenders on both shows included U-Kiss, G.NA, Huh Gak, B1A4, Dal★Shabet, Chocolat, Crispy Crunch and Nine Muses.
KARA have made their return to the local music scene for the first time in ten months with their third studio release "STEP" and have been busy promoting their title track of the same name.
The song took first place on cable music channel Mnet's "M! CountDown" last week as well.
Davichi, composed of members Lee Hae-ri and Kang Min-kyung, has led a successful singing career since their debut in the K-pop scene in 2008.
They made a return with their third mini-album "Love Delight" featuring their title track "Don't Say Goodbye" which has dominated a number of online music charts since its release in late August.
