Singer-actor Kim Hyun-joong will release a limited edition of his latest album “Break Down,” announced his agency KEYEAST on Thursday.
KEYEAST explained via press release that the limited edition of Kim’s first solo mini-album “Break Down” will hit stores at end of this month while one can make reservations for the record at major online shopping malls such as Yes24, Kyobo and Interpark, starting today.
The limited edition is to be composed of the CD of the mini-album, DVD with a clip showing how Kim's music videos were made and the music videos to “Break Down” and “Please” and a 48-page photobook with pictures that have never been displayed elsewhere.
“We're releasing a limited edition of the album to express our gratitude to our fans from home and overseas who have showed much love for Kim's mini-album,” an official at KEYEAST was quoted as saying in the statement. “The limited edition contains even more diverse stories of Kim from the process of how we made his album."
The DVD in particular will include Kim’s video message to his fans, highlight scenes of the showcase for the album “Break Down” held on June 7, Kim's dance rehearsal sessions and other clips related to his music videos.
Kim, 25, made his debut as the leader of the popular boy band SS501 in 2005. He expanded his career into acting with a role in KBS’ smash hit series “Boys Over Flowers” in 2009, which made him a household name in Korea and Asia and followed it with another drama “Naughty Kiss” in 2010.
He resumed his singing career this month with the release of “Break Down” which sold over 100,000 in less than three weeks of its release, making Kim the solo K-pop artist with the highest number of record sales, when excluding the records set by boy bands.
