Kim Ha-neul, Yoo Seung-ho finish shooting thriller pic

Korean actress Kim Ha-neul and actor Yoo Seung-ho have finished shooting an upcoming thriller film, according to the movie's distributor NEW.

On Tuesday, NEW announced in a press release that Kim and Yoo, after three months, completed filming their feature flick titled "Blind" which will open in local theaters this summer.

"Blind," helmed by Ahn Sang-hoon, tells of about Soo-a (Kim), a visually impaired student at a police academy, who is the prime witness to a horrendous crime and tries to solve the incident with the help of Kwon Ki-sup (Yoo) who saw the whole thing happen.

The movie had won the awards as the best and most popular project at the "2009 Hit By Pitch" hosted by the Producers Guild of Korea which aims at enhancing producers' expertise and revitalizing film productions.

"It's a bittersweet feeling to part from my character Soo-a since I was her for the past three months," Kim said in the statement. "I feel that the production will be different from the other thriller movies and I hope the audience shows their support when it opens in theaters."

"I'm just glad that we finished shooting the movie without any trouble," Yoo was quoted as saying. "I hope that the film does well since we all worked hard on it."

Kim has enjoyed steady popularity in Korea since her debut in 1996, starring in numerous hit TV dramas and movies, including SBS TV series "On Air" and MBC’s “Road No. 1” and films "My Tutor Friend" and "My Girlfriend is an Agent."

Yoo made his debut at the early age of 10, starring in the MBC TV series "Daddy Fish" and his film debut in "The Way Home." He has appeared in numerous dramas including "Love Letter," "Queen Seon-duk," and "Master of Study" and movie "Don't Tell Papa" and "Unforgettable."
