Ku Hye-sun establishes movie production company

Korean actress Ku Hye-sun has established her own movie production company, according to her agency YG Entertainment on Friday. YG confirmed news that the multi-talented entertainer set up a company named Ku Hye-sun Film in order to produce her second feature film tentatively titled "Peach Tree." "Peach Tree" tells the story of male Siamese twins and Korean actors Ryu Duk-hwan and Nam Sang-mi were recently cast the main leads.Ku is a well-known singer-songwriter, artist, novelist and scriptwriter who was originally set to debut with a singing career with YG Entertainment but started acting in several TV series and made a breakthrough in 2006 with a role in KBS' drama "Pure in Heart." She rose to stardom in Korea and throughout Asia after starring in the mega-hit series "Boys Over Flowers" in 2009 and also made her directorial debut in 2008 with the short feature "The Madonna" which was invited to numerous film festivals. She released her first feature film "Magic," about the passion and competition among young musicians in a conservatory that features various music genres including classical music, folk and Korean pop songs, which was screened at various film festivals last year including the Jeonju International Film Festival and the Jecheon International Music & Film Festival.
