A Variety of Floral Exhibitions and Hands-on Activities
Gijang County will hold the "Gijang County Autumn Chrysanthemum Festival" for four days from October 22 to October 25 at the Cheolma Urban Agriculture Park.
This festival has been organized to promote the culture of "flowers in daily life" in the region, provide visitors with a variety of attractions, secure stable sales channels for local flower farms, and revitalize the local economy. Until last year, the festival was held in conjunction with the Jeonggwan Ecological Stream Learning and Culture Festival, but starting this year, it will be newly hosted at the Cheolma Urban Agriculture Park.
The event will feature a wide range of floral exhibitions, including chrysanthemums produced by five local flower grower groups, as well as flower sculptures and photo zones to offer diverse attractions. In addition, a variety of hands-on programs will be offered during the festival, such as a flower sharing event, a repotting experience, and a direct farm produce market, which are expected to further enhance the festive atmosphere.
County Governor Jeong Jongbok said, "As the event is being newly held at Cheolma Urban Agriculture Park this year, I hope many people will visit, enjoy the warm autumn sunshine and the subtle fragrance of chrysanthemums, and create precious memories while experiencing the beauty of autumn."
