Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Development Corporation (GH) will appoint Kim Sangcheol, Policy Advisor at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, as Head of the Strategic Business Division, and Oh Wanseok, a member of the Gyeonggi Provincial Council, as Head of the Balanced Development Division, effective August 4.
Kim Sangcheol, the new Head of the Strategic Business Division, previously worked in the Presidential Secretariat during the Participatory Government, where he was responsible for national agenda promotion and planning. During the Moon Jae-in administration, he served as Policy Advisor to the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy, participating in major policies such as the selection of the Yongin Semiconductor Cluster and the establishment of the Energy Industry Convergence Complex.
Oh Wanseok, the new Head of the Balanced Development Division, served as a member of the 8th Planning and Finance Committee and as a member of both the 9th Planning and Finance Committee and the Agriculture, Fisheries and Maritime Affairs Committee of Gyeonggi Province. With his deep understanding of Gyeonggi Province and GH's overall business operations, he is expected to contribute to the development of the northern region.
The GH Strategic Business Division oversees the discovery of new projects, the creation and supply of industrial complexes, and the establishment of construction technology standards. The Balanced Development Division is responsible for the development and balanced growth of northern areas such as Namyangju and Goyang.
Lee Jongsun, Acting President of GH, stated, "By appointing experts in each field as division heads, we have minimized management vacancies and enhanced stability," adding, "We expect the newly appointed division heads to make significant contributions to the development of the organization."
