EV Advanced Materials, a subsidiary of Loa&Co Group led by CEO Choi Dongrak, announced on July 21 that it has begun actively creating a next-generation smart transportation environment by collaborating with Daegu Metropolitan Transit Corporation to pilot the installation of advanced transparent displays on subway platform screen doors (PSD).
This pilot project is drawing attention as a next-generation platform capable of providing both commercial advertisements and transportation and safety information simultaneously. It is expected to not only enhance passenger safety through real-time information delivery but also contribute to the creation of new revenue models.
EV Advanced Materials plans to begin full-scale implementation at Banwoldang Station in Daegu starting in July, and to expand to other key stations such as Dongdaegu Station and Jungangno Station by 2026. The company is also expanding its marketing efforts with the goal of spreading this technology to subway and transit authorities nationwide.
A company representative stated, "We will lead a paradigm shift in public transportation with our state-of-the-art transparent display technology," and added, "We also aim to improve citizens' quality of life through technology-based public infrastructure innovation."
Meanwhile, since the beginning of this year, EV Advanced Materials has been expanding its business scope by increasing display installations in major locations nationwide, including the Yongin Mirae Foundation, Jincheon Healing Zone, Yeoju Suspension Bridge, and Paju Peace Nuri Park.
Additionally, the company has Dynamic Design and SC Engineering, both KOSPI-listed firms, as its major subsidiaries, and its largest shareholder is Nexton Bio, a KOSDAQ-listed company.
