Yangsan City in South Gyeongsang Province will hold the "Nostalgic Music Outing - 90s Nostalgic Anime OST Concert" at the Jungbu Square in Hwangsan Park on June 28 at 5 p.m.
This event is an outdoor concert that features background music from animated films that were popular among people in their 20s and 30s when they were children. By presenting a new type of performance based on music familiar to citizens, the city aims to provide an opportunity for people to experience happiness in their daily lives through a cultural and artistic event that is easy to relate to.
For this event, the city referred to tracks that evoke nostalgia among young adults, such as "Nostalgic Anime OST Playlists" that are frequently played online. The city also directly handled negotiations for the use of music copyrights for the songs selected for the live performance. In addition, by collaborating with local bands and dance teams, the city plans to add meaning to the event as a joint effort between the city and local artists.
A city official stated, "After considering what kind of cultural and artistic events would resonate with the youth of Yangsan, we decided to organize this new event," and added, "We plan to continue offering a variety of interesting events to meet the cultural needs of our citizens, so we hope for your interest and participation."
