NH NongHyup Bank Launches Company-wide Rural Labor Support Initiative

NH NongHyup Bank announced on the 23rd that on the 20th, it carried out a company-wide initiative to support farms across the country facing labor shortages during the busy farming season.


Kang Taeyoung, President of NongHyup Bank, visited a raspberry farm in Pocheon, Gyeonggi Province, together with executives from the Central Headquarters, employees from the Seoul Gangbuk Business Division, and outstanding customers to help address the shortage of rural labor. The Business Planning Division, along with the university student volunteer group Ndolphin, also participated in company-wide support activities, such as bagging fruit at an orchard in Yangpyeong, Gyeonggi Province.


NongHyup Bank will continue its rural labor support activities nationwide until the 27th, which is the designated period for intensive rural labor assistance. Last year, 5,136 employees contributed a total of 35,562 hours to rural labor support.


President Kang stated, "I hope our efforts provide at least some help to farmers struggling with labor shortages," and added, "NongHyup Bank will continue to listen to the voices of agriculture, rural communities, and our customers, and will prioritize customer value as we pursue mutual growth."
