The Gwangju Employers Federation announced on the 12th that it participated in the 2030 Gwangju Talent Development Strategy Briefing, hosted by the city of Gwangju, and signed a joint resolution to nurture 810,000 talents.
The event, held on the first floor of the Gwangju Immersive Content Cube on the 11th, was attended by more than 250 people from over 90 organizations, including the city of Gwangju, the Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education, local universities, the Gwangju City Council, district offices, affiliated and funded institutions, central government agencies, economic organizations, and companies.
The briefing proceeded in the following order: key current status, additional projects, best practices, vision and goals, AI and digital, semiconductors, culture and content, other strategic projects, and lifelong learning linkages.
On this day, the Gwangju Employers Federation read out a joint resolution stating, "We will actively support the creation of quality jobs and the employment and entrepreneurship of local talents so that Gwangju's talents can realize their dreams and settle in the region."
Yang Jinseok, Chairman, emphasized, "We have agreed to cooperate in creating favorable conditions for workers to settle, and practical implementation is needed so that these efforts lead to tangible results in industry and education. We will also support the review of newly developed educational programs to ensure they are aligned with corporate sites and future industries, and address any shortcomings."
