"Delicious Jeonju Midnight Cinema" is a flagship nighttime tourism program in Jeonju. It will be held every Friday night at Jeonju Cinematown from June 13 to June 27.

This program allows visitors to watch food-themed films while enjoying dishes and beverages inspired by the films, prepared by local chefs using Jeonju's ten signature flavors (Jeonju Simmi). The featured films and corresponding foods include "The Wandering Chef" (June 13), "Kamome Diner" (June 20), and "Julie & Julia" (June 27).

Additionally, on June 21 and June 28, the "HI-LIGHT Jeonju! Night Banquet" will take place at the Wanpanbon Culture Center. This event will reinterpret various genres of fusion Korean traditional music performances as a theater-style show, including the Joseon-era pansori novel "Sugungga," to shed new light on Jeonju's history as the center of Joseon's publishing culture.

This year, the city also plans to launch the "HI-LIGHT Jeonju! Walking Night Tour," a tour product that allows visitors to enjoy beautiful nightscapes and various nighttime attractions at Jeonju's major tourist sites.

The city intends to continuously develop specialized nighttime content by season and theme to promote year-round nighttime tourism. It also aims to establish a sustainable tourism model that fosters coexistence with local residents.

No Eunyoung, Director of Culture, Sports and Tourism at Jeonju City, stated, "Nighttime tourism leads to longer stays and increased spending, which is expected to greatly benefit the local economy. We will offer domestic and international tourists a unique experience with nighttime content that highlights Jeonju's distinctive identity and the charm of its nights."
