Highest Market Share Among Operating Airlines
Air Busan (CEO Jung Byungsub) will resume its Busan-Philippines Cebu route starting July 25, 2025.
The service will operate as a regular daily flight.
The flight schedule departs from Gimhae International Airport at 9:55 PM and arrives in Cebu at 1:30 AM the following day. The return flight departs Cebu at 2:25 AM and arrives at Gimhae Airport at 8:00 AM on the same day. The flight time is approximately 4 hours and 35 minutes, and the A321 aircraft (220 seats) will be used for this route.
Since Air Busan began operating this route in March 2011 until it suspended service in March 2023, the airline transported over 1 million cumulative passengers and maintained a market share in the mid-40% range.
Cebu is a leading tourist destination in the Philippines, offering popular tourism infrastructure for families such as marine sports, safaris, and ocean parks. Large shopping malls and massage shops are also abundant, allowing visitors to enjoy both relaxation and shopping.
An Air Busan representative stated, "With the resumption of the Busan-Cebu route, it will now be possible to create customized travel itineraries in connection with the existing Busan-Bohol route, further enhancing convenience for travelers."
