Inspection of Neulbom School and AI Digital Textbook Operations
Listening to Stakeholder Feedback and On-Site Challenges
The Education Committee of the Jeonnam Provincial Council recently visited schools in the Suncheon area to inspect the operation of Neulbom School and AI digital textbooks, and to listen to a variety of opinions from the educational field, the committee announced on June 11.
This visit was organized to assess the actual status of Neulbom School and AI digital textbook implementation at schools, and to discuss issues and possible improvements identified during the rollout of these initiatives.
During an on-site meeting, committee members listened to a range of opinions regarding changes in schools since the implementation of these policies, increased workloads for staff, and feedback from students and parents as educational stakeholders. The main issues raised included expanding eligibility for evening Neulbom School programs, operating emergency care programs, and addressing difficulties such as the need for expanded network infrastructure and teacher training to effectively utilize AI digital textbooks.
The committee members also directly inspected key educational facilities, such as spaces used for Neulbom School and the status of wireless internet infrastructure, and agreed on the need for practical on-site support in future policy implementation. They also plan to continue monitoring how educational policies are applied across the province and to ensure that the voices from the educational field are reflected in policymaking.
Committee Chair Kim Jeonghee stated, "The success of educational policies depends not on the policies themselves, but on how they are actually implemented in the field," adding, "The Education Committee will continue to work with the provincial office of education to enhance policy effectiveness and to create educational environments suitable for local conditions."
