Discovering and Nurturing On-Campus Startups
Jeonju University (President Park Jinbae) Startup Incubation Center has been selected for the '2025 Specialized Competency BI Fostering Support Project' in the industry-academia cooperation category, hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea Business Incubation Association.
According to Jeonju University on the 9th, the 'Specialized Competency BI Fostering Support Project' will be carried out over two years to strengthen the expertise of startup incubation centers and expand the support system for the growth of startup companies. The selection in the industry-academia cooperation category is evaluated as a recognition of Jeonju University's systematic startup support and efforts in industry-academia cooperation.
Through this project, the Jeonju University Startup Incubation Center plans to focus on discovering and nurturing on-campus startup companies, and actively utilize the university's human and material resources to develop and operate industry-academia cooperation programs.
Jeonju University aims to promote startup activities among professors and students and to build an ecosystem where technological development and corporate growth form a virtuous cycle.
Lee Sangwoo, head of the Jeonju University Startup Incubation Center, said, "Being selected for this support project is the result of combining Jeonju University's startup support system and its foundation in industry-academia cooperation. We will actively support the growth of innovative startups and take the lead in creating a regional startup ecosystem by promoting technology commercialization through industry-academia collaboration."
Meanwhile, the Jeonju University Startup Incubation Center is helping early-stage startups achieve successful growth through comprehensive support such as customized startup education, professional mentoring, investment connections, and global expansion support, and continues to carry out various support activities to establish a sustainable startup environment.
