The Yeongnam Women Architects Association of the Korea Women Architects Association held its inaugural general meeting on the 22nd at the Pukyong Convention Hall of Pukyong National University to establish a nationwide network of women architects, promote the professionalism of women architects, and expand social contributions through architecture, appointing Professor No as the first president.
As the number of women architects in the Yeongnam region steadily increases, the Yeongnam Women Architects Association will serve as a focal point by establishing a foundation for the activities of dispersed architecture-related experts within the Yeongnam region, addressing the lack of an active network among these women architects.
Additionally, centered in Busan, the association plans to strive for the development of architectural culture in the Yeongnam region through enhancing the qualifications of women architects, improving members' rights, promoting camaraderie among members, and engaging in extensive social service activities.
