Jungmun Day, first held last year, was a one-day event offering discounts exclusively to residents. This year, the event period has been extended to two days and is filled with various benefits and attractions for both residents and tourists to enjoy.
At the main venue, 'Yeomiji Botanical Garden,' there will be a 'pop-up store' featuring dishes by hotel chefs, a 'plant classroom,' and 'cultural performances.'
In the 'Greenhouse Botanical Garden,' activities such as 'art drawing' with artists and 'piano performances' will take place. A 'flea market' will be set up at the 'Lawn Plaza.' The proceeds will be donated to welfare facilities for single-parent families.
The first 200 visitors who bring personal items such as mats, tumblers, or lunch boxes will receive admission tickets to the 'Teddy Bear Museum,' supporting the practice of 'Zero Waste.'
During Jungmun Day, visitors can enter the Jeju ecological and cultural exhibition hall 'Buddy Friends Planet' and 'Chocolate Land,' where all things chocolate can be enjoyed, free of charge.
The Teddy Bear Museum, home to the 'world's smallest teddy bear' listed in the Guinness Book of Records and the 9-meter-tall 'Giant Teddy Bear,' as well as the indoor theme park 'Running Man Jeju,' offering exciting experiences, will also offer the largest-ever discounts on admission tickets.
Additionally, Lotte Hotel Jeju, Grand Josun Jeju, and Paranas Hotel Jeju will offer food and beverage (F&B) discounts of up to 30%.
Kim Man-jin, head of the Jeju branch of the Korea Tourism Organization, said, "The Jungmun Tourism Complex is a complex cultural tourism site that the whole family can enjoy," and added, "Through this Jungmun Day, we hope that not only Jeju residents but also tourists fully enjoy the charm of the Jungmun Tourism Complex."
