Art University Students Share Honest Stories and Experiences

Chosun University Hospital (Director Kim Jin-ho) announced on the 12th that it held an exhibition in collaboration with the Chosun University College of Fine Arts at the 'Snail Gallery' located at the central staircase of Hospital Building 1 on the 11th.
Under the theme "Art Therapy: People Who Paint the Mind," this exhibition aims to comfort the hearts of patients and their guardians visiting the hospital and provide a space of hope and healing through art. Especially this year, despite difficulties in hospital management due to the absence of residents, the third exhibition was held continuously to support the College of Fine Arts students' challenges toward their dreams.
Comprising 32 works that contain the sincere stories and experiences of Chosun University College of Fine Arts students, this exhibition is expected to promote the development of local art and culture, strengthen ties with the local community, enhance the hospital's friendly image, and foster the artistic capabilities of the College of Fine Arts students.
In his commemorative speech for the exhibition, Kim Jin-ho, Director of Chosun University Hospital, said, "I hope this art exhibition will serve as art therapy that understands and heals the hearts of patients," adding, "As the exhibition theme 'People Who Paint the Mind' suggests, the emotions and experiences contained in each work will deeply resonate with and comfort viewers."
In his congratulatory speech, Cho Yoon-sung, Dean of the Chosun University College of Fine Arts, said, "I expect that the works filled with artistic passion will convey the power of healing and breathe new life and warmth into the hospital," and added, "I hope this meaningful exhibition will build a humane hospital image where art and medicine meet, open a new chapter for communication between patients and the local community, and contribute to the development of local art and culture."
Meanwhile, the artworks will be exhibited until September 30 of next year.
