President's Cup National Archery Tournament Achieves Success in Team and Individual Competitions
The archery team of Uiryeong-gun, Gyeongnam, is taking a commemorative photo after achieving good results.
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Wook] The archery team of Uiryeong-gun, Gyeongnam, achieved a remarkable feat by winning awards in both the team and individual events at the 61st Presidential National City and Province Archery Competition held on the 6th at Daedeokjeong in Wolpyeong Park, Seo-gu, Daejeon, demonstrating the dignity of the descendants of General Gwak Jae-woo.
Out of a total of seven players, including coach Oh Yeon-i, five players (Kim Jeong-su, Im Ok-jin, Kim Chae-seok, Im Chae-hoon, Jang Min-ju) participated and secured 3rd place in the team event, while player Kim Jeong-su earned the honor of 3rd place in the individual event.
The Uiryeong archery team was founded in July 2002 by enacting the "Ordinance on the Establishment and Operation of the Uiryeong-gun Office Workplace Sports Team."
With generous investment from Uiryeong-gun and strong interest and support from the residents, the team has been showcasing excellent skills, including winning the team event and securing 1st place in the individual event at the provincial sports competition last August.
