[Asia Economy Reporter Seo So-jeong] The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (Commissioner Kim Gang-lip) announced on the 28th that there are several antipyretic analgesics available for use after COVID-19 vaccination besides 'Tylenol'.
As the number of vaccinated individuals has surged recently, causing a shortage of Tylenol in some pharmacies, the ministry explained that many antipyretic analgesic products containing acetaminophen, similar to Tylenol, are approved as over-the-counter drugs in Korea.
The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety stated, "Acetaminophen products distributed in the market have the same efficacy and effects, so they can be selected and taken in appropriate dosages according to the pharmacist's guidance," adding, "They can be purchased at nearby pharmacies."
