Lindsay Price named PR ambassador for Korea tourism

Hollywood actress Lindsay Price has been named a promotional ambassador for the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) next month.

KTO announced in a press release on Tuesday that Lindsay Prince, who is of Korean-German-Irish descent, will visit Korea to take part in the appointment ceremony and press conference for her new responsibility on September 1.

The press release also said that her mother, who is Korean, and father who is German-Irish, will attend the event.

"We hope to increase tourism to Korea as well as its image since it has been affected due to the recent difficulties faced by the United States, Japan and several countries in Europe," an official from KTO was quoted as saying.

Price, 34, has appeared in a number of television programs since the 1980s and is best known for her role as Janet Sosna on "Beverly Hills, 90210" and her works in soap operas "All My Children" and "The Bold and Beautiful."

She had starred in TV series "Lipstick Jungle" (2008), "Eastwick" (2009)" and made several guest appearances in "How I Met Your Mother" and "Fraiser."
