The event was organized by some of the biggest names in the Korean movie industry including actor Ahn Sung-ki who serves as the committee chairman.

Actors Yoo Ji-tae of Cannes award-winning film "Oldboy" and actress Koo Hye-sun of TV series "Boys Over Flowers" participated as directors in a special feature section called "Theme Shorts: Communication & I".

This year's panel of judges include Korean director and head of jury Kim Ji-woon of critically acclaimed film "The Good, The Bad, The Weird", cinematographer Hong Kyung-pyo of "Mother", Hallyu star Son Ye-jin as the guest judge for the "Face in Shorts Award" and American actress Amanda Plummer, the daughter of Hollywood star Christopher Plummer from "The Sound of Music".

The festival will be attended by some 40 short-film filmmakers from all around the world, whose works will be competing in the finals.
