Over a hundred of Shinhwa member Jun Jin's fans from across Asia turned up at an Army training center in Korea on Thursday to see off their idol star entering the military.
Fans from several countries including Korea, China, Japan and Taiwan gathered at the Nonsan training center in the South Chungcheong Province to bid the singer farewell while presenting him with gifts and singing verses from his songs
"I'm serving the military late because I had been pursuing my career but I'll come back much healthier and stronger," the 29-year-old singer said to his fans and reporters.
He will start his mandatory military service as a public service officer after receiving four weeks of basic training at Nonsan.
Jun Jin has led on an active 12-year career since debuting in 1998 as a member of the popular boy band Shinhwa, which also gained popularity throughout Asia. More recently, he had released solo albums and appeared in various TV shows.
