SM chief Lee Soo-man gives speech in France over weekend

Lee Soo-man, founder of one of Korea's biggest talenthouses SM Entertainment, gave a special lecture in France over the weekend, according to SM. On Monday, SM announced that Lee took part in the "Writers & Publishers Conference" held at the Marriott Rive Gauche Hotel in Paris on June 11 and spoke on the topic of culture technology and the present and future of the Hallyu (Korean Wave) in front of some 50 famed composers and publishers. Lee created the theory of cultural technology during the mid-90s based on the concept of how to break into other Asian markets in the region which he had spoken on through previous lectures at U.S. Stanford University, Harvard, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Cornell. The latest conference was attended by various internationally known producers such as Willy Morrison and Teddy Riley, while Girls' Generation member Tiffany addressed the global changes that she felt as an Asian pop star as well as talking about being a trainee at SM. Other top artists of SM, namely TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls' Generation, SHINee and f(x), were already in Paris for the first-ever joint concert in the country, under the name of "SMTOWN LIVE WORLD TOUR in PARIS," held at the Le Zenith de Paris on June 10 and 11. Highlights from the concert and interviews from the singers have been uploaded on their official YouTube channel and Facebook page which was recently featured on Facebook's official page featuring international celebrities.
