Pusan National University and Busan University of Foreign Studies Launch Global Startup Practicum in Silicon Valley... "Startup Dreams in the Field of Innovation"

The "2025 Global Startup Incubator Overseas Startup Practicum," jointly operated by Pusan National University and Busan University of Foreign Studies, opened on July 14 in Silicon Valley, United States.

Pusan National University announced on July 14 that the practicum program is hosted by Busan Metropolitan City and Busan RISE Innovation Center, and co-organized by the Pusan National University Regional Community Innovation Headquarters and the Busan University of Foreign Studies Startup Support Team. The program will run for four weeks. It is designed to enable local university students with creative ideas to directly experience the global startup ecosystem and develop practical entrepreneurial capabilities.

After preliminary training in June, the practicum will be held on-site in Silicon Valley from July 14 to August 8, and the results will be shared at a performance report session scheduled for September 5.

The nine students selected for the final program?four from Pusan National University and five from Busan University of Foreign Studies?will visit global companies and innovation institutions such as Google, Apple, NVIDIA, and Stanford University in Silicon Valley. They will also participate in a variety of programs, including AI Camp, global mentoring, and startup pitching.

The practicum includes collaboration with local experts to refine startup items and receive practical feedback that reflects global startup trends, which is expected to significantly enhance the participants' ability to execute actual startups.

Pusan National University and Busan University of Foreign Studies plan to use this program as a starting point to further expand student-centered global entrepreneurship support programs and accelerate the creation of a startup ecosystem linked with the region-based RISE project.
