Roadmap Briefing Held at Gwangju City Hall Business Room on July 8

Gwangju Mayor Kang Gijung and Hyundai Department Store CEO Jung Jiyeong attended the 'The Hyundai Gwangju Groundbreaking Roadmap Briefing' held at the City Hall's third-floor business room on the morning of July 8. At the briefing, the construction start date and future plans for 'The Hyundai Gwangju,' a mixed-use shopping mall that received its building permit on June 18, were announced.

Hyundai Department Store revealed a detailed schedule, aiming to begin construction in October this year and complete the project by December 2027. The company also introduced its construction methods, process strategies, and exterior design direction.

The company presented its vision of creating "Gwangju’s first and largest future-oriented mixed-use shopping mall," and explained the core concept through plans for development and spatial content composition, as well as proprietary 3D interior image videos.

The briefing was attended by The Hyundai Gwangju branch manager, the head of the New Vitality Promotion Headquarters, the chief of New Vitality, related city officials, and Hyundai Department Store staff, who discussed mutually beneficial cooperation measures.
