Lee Dahae Owns Two Buildings in Gangnam, Seven Holds One in Mapo
Combined Current Value Estimated at Approximately 32.5 Billion Won

Singer Seven (real name Choi Dongwook) and actress Lee Dahae, who are married, have drawn attention for reportedly owning three buildings in Seoul's Gangnam and Mapo districts.

On May 18, News1 reported, citing Building Road Real Estate Brokerage Corporation, that in May 2022, Lee purchased a newly constructed building located on a corner in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, for 16 billion won under a corporate name.

This building, which sits on a land area of 300.82 square meters (approximately 91 pyeong) and has two basement floors and five above-ground floors, is located within a five-minute walk from Seonjeongneung Station, where subway lines 9 and the Suin-Bundang Line intersect, and is considered a triple station area including line 7.

Currently, an entertainment company is leasing and occupying all floors of this building. The rental yield based on the purchase price is reportedly in the 3 percent range.

Previously, in August 2023, Lee sold a building that she had purchased in 2016 under a corporate name, presumed to be a family company, for 4.68 billion won, for 24 billion won, earning a capital gain of approximately 20 billion won. It became a topic of discussion that she used this profit to purchase the aforementioned building entirely in cash, without a loan.

In addition, Lee purchased a building near Gangnam-gu Office Station in Nonhyeon-dong in 2014 for about 3.3 billion won, which she personally redeveloped and now owns. The current value of this building is estimated at about 7.5 billion won.

An official from Building Road Real Estate Brokerage Corporation told News1, "The rent for this building has steadily increased for over seven years, and it is known to have a higher rental yield than the Seonjeongneung Station building."

Choi also owns a five-story building in Donggyo-dong, Mapo-gu, with a current market value of about 9 billion won. He purchased the building in 2004 and redeveloped it in 2015. The upper floors are currently used as the office for Choi's one-man agency.

Because the purchase was made before the introduction of the real transaction reporting system, the exact purchase price is unknown, but industry sources estimate the current value of the building to be over 9 billion won.

Lee debuted in 2002 and appeared in dramas such as "Wangkkot Seonnyeonim" and "Chuno." Seven debuted in 2003 and released hit songs including "Come Back to Me" and "Passion." The couple held their wedding in May 2023 and registered their marriage last year.
