The festival featured international students from 15 countries, including France, Peru, Mongolia, and Russia, who showcased their traditional foods and cultures in a vibrant atmosphere. Participants visited booths decorated with each country's traditional costumes and ornaments, tasted various foods firsthand, and experienced different cultures, enhancing their global awareness.
In particular, the venue was bustling from early on as many people gathered to sample local dishes that are rarely available. Participants not only enjoyed tasting food but also broadened their understanding of different cultures through interactions with international students.
A Busan National University official stated, "This event provides university students living in the era of globalization with a natural opportunity to develop a global perspective through food and culture," adding, "We plan to continue expanding opportunities for exchange between international students of various nationalities and domestic students in the future."
The College of Economics and International Commerce at Busan National University has been operating educational and cultural programs to promote multicultural exchange and global citizenship through the International Food and Culture Festival every year, marking its seventh edition this year.
