Digital Transformation Team Reorganized as 'AX Office' This Year

HanmiGlobal has officially introduced artificial intelligence (AI) into its internal operations. The strategy aims to accelerate the digital transformation of construction project management (PM).
On the 31st, HanmiGlobal announced the official launch of its in-house AI integrated platform, the 'HG AI Portal.' This portal combines various generative AI functions such as ▲AI chat ▲document review ▲translation ▲image analysis into a single system. Employees can access all functions with just one login.

The platform features an AI chat function based on a large language model (LLM), enabling quick information retrieval and data organization. When site photos or images are uploaded, the AI automatically analyzes them, capable of pointing out violations, providing relevant legal guidance, and suggesting solutions. Based on this data, safety inspection reports can be automatically generated. It is expected to enhance the effectiveness of preventing major accidents and implementing recurrence prevention measures.
HanmiGlobal plans to add real-time inspection functions linked with robots and drones in the future.
The company has operated a dedicated digital transformation team since 2019. This year, the team was reorganized into the 'AX Office' to accelerate the development of AI-based digital PM solutions. 'AX' stands for 'AI driven DX.'
The site management system is also being digitized. The self-developed 'MPMS (Maestro Project Management System)' enables one-stop processing from document creation to approval, storage, and report generation. It is evaluated as securing both data management systematization and efficiency simultaneously.
For construction cost management, the system 'CCN (Construction Cost Navigation)' was introduced in collaboration with group company Turner & Townsend Korea. It reviews the appropriateness of construction costs based on subcontracted construction cost performance data and allows comparison with similar projects. It also supports per-pyeong construction cost inquiry and construction cost index conversion.
Site safety management is also being strengthened. Through the mobile application 'RiskZeroHG,' real-time sharing is possible when risk factors occur, and instructions and actions are automatically documented. Soon, a 'Mobile Punch List' app with added quality management functions will also be distributed.
Drones and digital twin technology have also been introduced. By overlaying aerial images and design drawings, quality inspections are conducted, and a technical agreement with the U.S. drone specialist company DroneDeploy has been established to improve the accuracy of precise diagnostics. AI is also being integrated into the pre-construction stage. Construction cost estimation systems and schedule prediction tools are under development. The plan is to maximize efficiency from initial planning to resource allocation through these tools.
