Buddhist Painter's 'Figure Queen'... Kim Yuna Confirms Viewing on SNS

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Byung-hee] The 'Stars of Korea' series presented by French painter David Jamain in his second solo exhibition in Korea is drawing attention.


Jamain showcased the 'Stars of Korea' series, featuring five representative Korean stars?Kim Yuna, Son Heung-min, Kim Yeon-koung, Park Chan-wook, and Youn Yuh-jung?at his second solo exhibition titled "David Jamain: The Dandy Boy from Provence."


Figure skating queen Kim Yuna posted a photo on her Instagram on the 19th, showing her visit to David Jamain's exhibition. Jamain displayed five works depicting Kim Yuna at this exhibition, and she uploaded a photo taken in front of one of these pieces on Instagram. The five works of Kim Yuna painted by Jamain are scheduled to be auctioned for charity through the online content sales service "Things" on the 9th of next month.

Jamain was born in 1970 in the small French city of N?mes. He held his first solo exhibition in Korea in 2021 at the Seoul Arts Center under the title "David Jamain: Journey into the Inner World."


The exhibition "David Jamain: The Dandy Boy from Provence" is being held until April 27 on the 6th floor of The Hyundai Seoul, ALT.1 (Alt One), Yeouido-dong, Seoul.
