[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] Marriott Bonvoy's Sheraton Hotel & Resort announced on the 2nd that it will open the brand's first resort in the Philippines, the 'Sheraton Cebu Mactan Resort.'
Located in the center of Mactan Island, Sheraton Cebu Mactan Resort is a beachfront property with 261 rooms. It takes about 30 minutes by car to Mactan International Airport and boasts views of the Hilutungan Channel and Olango Island, one of the seven major migratory routes for migratory birds.
Most rooms offer ocean views and are equipped with amenities such as 50-inch LED televisions, high-speed wireless internet, and premium bathroom amenities.
The resort offers a diverse culinary experience through four main dining outlets. First, '5CEN' is an all-day dining restaurant serving global cuisine alongside Cebu specialties and Filipino local dishes, allowing guests to experience culture, art, and fine dining all in one place. It especially operates a station offering Filipino local desserts such as taho, sikwate, and tablia. 'Deep' features Peruvian-Japanese cuisine. 'Buhi Bar' offers drinks paired with Mediterranean cuisine in a delicately carved stone cave design. 'Sa Sitio' presents a variety of pastries, beverages, and takeout foods.
Nam Gi-deok, Marriott International's Korea and Philippines representative, said, "We are very pleased to open Sheraton Cebu Mactan Resort in one of the most important hubs in the Philippines.
