[Asia Economy Reporter Yoon Dong-joo] Members of the 'Reestablishing the People Power Party,' a support group for Lee Jun-seok, leader of the People Power Party, held a meeting on the 6th at a cafe in Yeouido, Seoul, to show their support for the leader.
Shin In-kyu, a lawyer leading the 'Reestablishing the People Power Party' group, stated, "What is conservatism? Isn't conservatism about valuing law and principles?" He continued, "Within the party, (those laws and principles) are the party's constitution and regulations, and since these are not being upheld, we must point out the problems," explaining the background for holding the discussion, adding, "It is heartbreaking to see the foundation of democracy collapsing."
Meanwhile, Lawyer Shin predicted that around the 9th, when the results of the National Committee's online vote are expected, a provisional injunction application will be filed, mainly by participants of the meeting.
