Jeju Air Selects Model 'Janmang Loopy'... "Enhancing Brand Preference Among MZ Generation"


[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] Jeju Air announced on the 6th that it has signed a model contract with the MZ generation (born between the 1980s and 2000s) trend character ‘Janmang Loopy’.


Janmang Loopy is a sub-character exaggerating the mischievous and playful traits among the various personalities of Loopy, a character from the popular animation ‘Porong Porong Pororo.’ It gained popularity online through Kakao emoticons, SNS, and other platforms, emerging as a trend character among the MZ generation.


Jeju Air’s model strategy aims to capture potential travel demand in line with the recovery of overseas travel. It is also intended to increase brand preference among its main customers, the MZ generation. Additionally, by utilizing the Janmang Loopy character, Jeju Air plans to expand its brand slogan campaign ‘YES, YOU CAN FLY,’ which has been ongoing since this year.


Starting with the model contract with Janmang Loopy, Jeju Air plans to release various collaboration products that capture the sentiment of travel, such as character model airplanes, travel bags, stuffed dolls, and stationery.


The ‘Jeju Air X Janmang Loopy’ collaboration products will be sold through Jeju Air Air Cafe and Jeju Air’s online mall, J Shop. Detailed information can be found on Jeju Air’s official Instagram account.
