'Ssalgip Ajusshi PD' Kim Young-hee's First Work... "Will Surpass 1 Million Views"

[Asia Economy Reporter Yoon Seul-gi] Lee Jae-myung, the presidential candidate of the Democratic Party of Korea, transformed into Santa Claus along with his spouse Kim Hye-kyung to perform rap and dance in celebration of Christmas.
The Democratic Party’s election campaign committee released a video titled "A Special Gift for Today, Christmas Carols by JaemyungC and HyekyungC" on their official YouTube channel on the 24th. The video was produced by Kim Young-hee, former MBC Content General Manager and known as the 'Rice Shop Uncle PD,' who recently joined the Democratic Party’s campaign communication headquarters.
The released video features the candidate and his spouse singing and dancing to a rewritten version of the famous Christmas carol "We Wish You a Merry Christmas."
The video begins with Lee parodying part of the song "Discord" performed by rapper Mud the Student on Mnet’s hip-hop competition show Show Me the Money. Wearing an orange top and dark black sunglasses, Lee changed the lyrics from "Hip-hop hasn’t been cool for a while" to "Christmas hasn’t been cool for a while" and sang it.
In the middle of the video, they parodied a scene from Mnet’s popular dance competition show Street Woman Fighter (Seutu Uoman Paiteo, SuPa), shouting "Watch closely, this is a battle of the uncoordinated," while Lee and his spouse Kim engaged in a dance battle. Lee wore a Santa Claus outfit with a white beard, and Kim wore a headband with horns and red nose makeup.
Additionally, the couple followed the choreography of SuPa’s "Hey Mama" and danced to BTS’s song "Dynamite."
At the end of the video, Lee said, "Did you enjoy it, fellow citizens? Despite the difficulties caused by COVID-19, I hope today is a joyful and happy day for everyone."
Meanwhile, before the video release, Director Kim held a press briefing at the central party office in Yeouido, Seoul, stating, "The two said, ‘If we can comfort even one citizen tired of COVID-19, we are willing to spend as much time as needed.’ I felt sincerity and deep emotion from the candidate and his spouse."
Director Kim also said, "I think it will definitely surpass 1 million views. The People Power Party’s presidential candidate Yoon Seok-youl’s side is also planning something like ‘Yoon’s Restaurant,’ which I think is a great plan. Competing through content and entertaining the public is probably the best service we can offer to the people during the campaign period."
