[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Eun-young] Kim Ju-young (34), former MBN announcer and director of the polling agency Realmeter, passed away from a heart attack on the 2nd.


According to Realmeter on the 3rd, Director Kim Ju-young passed away from a heart attack on the 2nd. A representative stated, "He was found at home, and when we tried to wake him thinking he was sleeping, he had already passed away."


The funeral hall was set up at Seoul Asan Medical Center Funeral Hall, Basement 1, Room 11, and the funeral procession will be held at 5 a.m. on the 4th. The burial site is Ulsan Sky Park.


Kim Ju-young graduated from Yonsei University with a degree in Sports Leisure Studies and joined MBN Maeil Broadcasting as an announcer in 2014. From September 2016, he worked as a director at Realmeter’s Future Strategy Research Institute, and after leaving MBN in April 2019, he appeared on TBS Radio programs such as "Kim Eo-jun's News Factory" and "The Room."


Netizens are unable to hide their shock at the sudden news.


In fact, he was known to have a great interest in exercise and health, having won the grand prize at the 2013 Men's Health Coolguy Contest. At the time of the award, he said, "I wake up every morning at 6:30 a.m. and live a very regular and diligent life, arriving at the office the earliest," and his SNS was filled with photos of him enjoying various exercises such as golf and personal training.


Many people are expressing their condolences on his last SNS post, saying, "We sincerely pray for the repose of the deceased."


Meanwhile, a heart attack is a sudden cessation of heart function and can be caused by acute myocardial infarction, aortic aneurysm rupture, heart rupture, and other conditions. Myocarditis seen during the recovery period of acute infectious diseases such as diphtheria or typhoid fever can also trigger a heart attack.
