Uncut Version of 19+ Rated 'Bubu-ui Segye' Available with Original Broadcast

Watcha Play, Uncut Version of The World of the Married and Original Doctor Foster Available

[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] Online video service (OTT) Watcha Play will provide the uncut version of the JTBC drama "Bubu-ui Segye" (The World of the Married) and the original drama "Doctor Foster."

On the 10th, Watcha Play announced that it will offer the uncut version of The World of the Married and all seasons of the BBC's Doctor Foster as new content. From episode 5 of The World of the Married, additional episodes will be released every Friday and Saturday at 10:50 PM immediately after the original broadcast through Watcha Play.

The World of the Married stars actress Kim Hee-ae, who returned to the small screen after four years, and is a drama centered on infidelity. The viewership rating for episode 4 on the 4th recorded 14.0% nationwide and 15.8% in the metropolitan area. Unusually for a drama, it was rated for viewers aged 19 and over, and the version of The World of the Married released on Watcha Play is the "uncut version" aired during the original broadcast time, different from the 15+ version shown in reruns.

The original British drama Doctor Foster seasons 1 and 2, which inspired The World of the Married, can also be watched on Watcha Play. Doctor Foster, aired in 2015 and 2017, had an average viewership exceeding 10 million and was a sensational topic throughout its broadcast in the UK. The overall plot is similar to The World of the Married, but the cultural background, cast, and production team differ, making it enjoyable to compare the two works. Jodie Comer, who became known in Korea through the British drama series "Killing Eve," appears as the mistress.

Additionally, 83 classic films including director Hirokazu Koreeda’s representative work "Nobody Knows," Edward Norton starring "The Illusionist," and "The Painted Veil," based on Somerset Maugham’s novel, as well as 26 TV series including MBC’s popular drama "Bom Bam" (One Spring Night) will be newly released.
