Korean duo TVXQ is set to kick off their activities in Japan through the release of their repackaged album in the country this month, according to Japan's record detailer HMV on Monday.
According to HMV and other Japanese music retailers, TVXQ will unveil their repackaged album of "Why (Keep Your Head Down)," based on their latest album of the same name, containing a new track titled "`(これだけは、分かってほしい. : Before U go" on March 30.
In February, the boys achieved platinum status with "Why (Keep Your Head Down)," which was released in the country on January 26, by selling over 250,000 copies of the single.
The album had sold over 231,000 copies in just six days of its release to take No.1 on the prestigious Oricon weekly singles chart the same week and placed first again on Oricon's monthly singles chart.
TVXQ, formerly composed of five members Hero Jaejoong, Mickey Yuchun, Max Changmin and U-Know Yunho, enjoyed high popularity throughout Asia as one the leading dance groups in K-pop scene since their debut in 2004.
However, after disputing with agency SM Entertainment over the unfairness of their 13-year exclusive contract, Jaejoong, Yuchun and Junsu halted their activities as TVXQ and instead formed trio JYJ.
TVXQ is now a duo group led by two remaining members Changmin and Yunho have been busy promoting "Why (Keep Your Head Down)" in Korea as well which has topped a number of online and offline music charts in the country since release in early January.
