Now in its third year, "Warm Learning - Run On" is a flagship community engagement program of Kyungpook National University. It aims to provide slow learners with opportunities to develop social adaptation skills through mentoring and to experience a society that grows together.

This year, 10 local slow-learning youth participated as mentees, while 10 Kyungpook National University students served as mentors.

The program focused on strengthening daily living skills and experience-based learning for slow learners. Key activities included hygiene and image management, developing healthy lifestyle habits, learning how to use public transportation, and a contest for ideas on creating goods. The curriculum was designed to help participants naturally acquire and utilize what they learned in their daily lives.

Parents also responded positively. One parent shared, "Through activities with the university student mentor, my child gained confidence in expressing themselves and became noticeably more comfortable in new environments. The accumulation of small changes in daily life has led to positive growth."

Jang Yuri, Director of the Kyungpook National University Center for Community Engagement, stated, "Through this project, slow learners are growing as members of the local community, and we hope the community will also move toward greater inclusion of slow learners. We will continue to expand customized programs that can drive meaningful change."
