Since its opening on Thursday, November 27, the festival surpassed a cumulative total of 73,000 visitors in just four days, setting a record that far exceeded initial expectations in its first week.

Around the Busan Cinema Center, lines lasting two to three hours formed every day, and at certain times, the queue wrapped around the entire building due to the sheer number of visitors. On-site, the excitement was so high that temporary entry restrictions became unavoidable, fueling the growing reputation of the event as "Busan's new signature winter festival."

◆ Snowing Show, 9m Tree, Santa Parade... Attracting Families, Couples, and Millennials & Gen Z

The main attractions, including the snowing show held every hour, a 9-meter main tree, large photo zones, and the Santa parade, have all received high satisfaction from visitors.

In particular, the festival has drawn a balanced mix of family visitors, couples, and groups of Millennials & Gen Z, creating an atmosphere of "the earliest Christmas season in Busan."

The festival will run for a month until December 25. Throughout the period, "weekly content renewals" are planned, introducing new Santa Village missions, hands-on programs, and special stage events each week. This is seen as a key driver to encourage repeat visits.

◆ 70 Michelin and Local Eateries in Busan... Early Sell-Outs

The gourmet content curated by Food Travel is also driving the festival's popularity.

About 70 brands, including Michelin-selected restaurants and popular local eateries in Busan, are offering event-exclusive menus, earning praise as "high-quality limited menus available only at the festival."

During peak hours, early sell-outs have become common, making the F&B lineup another highlight of the event.

The global gourmet zone, featuring overseas brands, is also drawing attention. With authentic local recipes for wine, desserts, and dishes, the festival has created a unique experience of "enjoying Christmas cuisine from around the world in Busan."

◆ From "Elf ID Check" to Santa's Workshop... Immersive Story-Based Experiences

The hands-on programs have also received enthusiastic responses from all generations.

Story-based programs, such as the "Elf ID Check" at the immigration-themed entrance, gift-making experiences at Santa's Village workshop, and self-gift wrapping at Santa's treasure warehouse, have deepened visitor engagement.

The flea market, designed as a "gift shop," has brought together handmade, living, and fashion brands to form a massive Christmas market. On weekends, a large number of Busan local brands participate, offering high-quality products that have caught the eye of Millennials & Gen Z.

◆ Aurora Show and Tree Forest Lighting... A New Take on Busan's Winter Nights

The large LED installation on the roof of Busan Cinema Center creates a nightly "Aurora Show," producing a breathtaking spectacle of waves of light across the sky.

The lighting displays throughout the tree forest have also naturally created photo zones, with visitors responding that it "perfectly captures the winter spirit of Busan."

◆ Expanded On-Site Flow and Safety Staff to Match Growing Visitor Numbers

In response to the increasing number of visitors, the organizers have reorganized the on-site flow and deployed additional safety personnel.

Especially on weekends and during peak times, the festival is operated under the principle of "safety and convenience first," ensuring that families can enjoy the event with peace of mind.

◆ "A Festival Completed by Citizens Themselves"... Expected to Grow as Busan's Signature Winter Tourism Content

Christmas Village Busan is gaining attention as a complex Christmas festival that goes beyond simple displays, integrating Busan's local gourmet, culture, and hands-on content.

With the enthusiastic response from citizens and tourists in its opening week, the festival has raised expectations of becoming Busan's representative winter festival in the future.

Park Sanghwa, CEO of Food Travel, stated, "We aimed to create a festival completed through direct participation by visitors. As local Busan brands and creators have prepared this together, we will continue to offer an even richer winter experience for the remainder of the festival."

Ko Inbeom, CEO of Busan Cinema Center, said, "We are grateful for the support that has exceeded our expectations. We will do our utmost to ensure safe operations so that many citizens and tourists can create happy winter memories."
