Hanbat National University announced on the 28th that Professor Minwoo Lee from the Department of Mechanical Engineering received the "1st Cricket Young Combustion Engineer Award" at this year's Korean Combustion Society Autumn Conference awards ceremony.
This award is presented to individuals under the age of 40 who are full-time faculty members or researchers at national and public research institutions, in recognition of their contributions to the advancement of combustion and mechanical engineering and their active participation in the academic activities of the Korean Combustion Society.

This year marks the inaugural presentation of the award, which was jointly given to Professor Lee and Professor Jeong Kisung of Pukyong National University. Each recipient receives a prize of 10 million won.
Professor Lee has published numerous papers this year in both domestic and international journals, including the Journal of Fluid Mechanics and Aerospace Science and Technology, focusing on combustion dynamics, thermoacoustic instability, and propulsion system modeling.
Currently, Professor Lee is leading multiple government and private sector projects related to combustion and aerospace propulsion systems, including those commissioned by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.
