The handover ceremony was held on the 21st at the Comprehensive Support Center for Elderly Living Alone in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, and was attended by Kim Hyunmi, Director of the Comprehensive Support Center for Elderly Living Alone, Park Hyuk, Executive Director of the OTC Business Division at Dongkook Pharmaceutical, and other representatives from both sides. The donated funds were raised through the "Walking Donation Campaign with Dongkook Pharmaceutical," which ran for about a month from October 13 to November 9. The funds will be used to support medical expenses for the treatment of leg diseases among vulnerable elderly individuals.

Since 2022, the "Walking Donation Campaign with Dongkook Pharmaceutical" has been held annually in collaboration with the Comprehensive Support Center for Elderly Living Alone and the mobile healthcare platform Walkon. This campaign is a social contribution initiative linked to Dongkook Pharmaceutical's venous circulation disorder symptom relief product, Censia.

The campaign was designed to encourage "walking," one of the best habits for preventing and managing venous circulation disorders, and to help vulnerable elderly people suffering from leg diseases. This year, about 20,000 people participated, achieving approximately 4.5 billion steps-far surpassing the original goal of 1 billion steps.

Kim Hyunmi, Director of the Center, who attended the ceremony, said, "I would like to thank everyone who participated in the Walking Donation Campaign. We will ensure that the warm-hearted support from campaign participants is delivered to the elderly who are about to receive treatment."

Executive Director Park stated, "Every single step taken by each participant has come together to help neighbors struggling with leg diseases. Dongkook Pharmaceutical will continue to discover and consistently carry out various social contribution activities in the future."

Meanwhile, according to IQVIA data, Censia is the top-selling product in Korea for relieving symptoms of venous circulation disorders. Its main ingredient is a standardized extract of Centella asiatica, which acts directly on weakened veins to alleviate symptoms such as swelling, heaviness, numbness, or pain in the legs. As an over-the-counter herbal medicine, it can be purchased at pharmacies without a prescription.
