GS Engineering & Construction Introduces AI-Based Customized Music Experience 'Xi Soundscape'

On November 28, GS Engineering & Construction announced that it will introduce the 'Xi Soundscape,' the first in the construction industry to provide an auditory experience tailored to the characteristics of each space.

The Xi Soundscape features music designed for each area based on the main routes and living patterns within the complex. Optimized playlists are applied to each space, such as building entrances, landscaped walkways, community lobbies, and lounges, providing a customized auditory experience according to the purpose and atmosphere of each location.

In addition, GS Engineering & Construction has collaborated with Applause, an AI-based spatial music specialist, to introduce an AI-powered automatic playlist engine that reflects time, weather, and environmental data. This enables a customized auditory environment, where music naturally adapts to the conditions within the complex.

Prior to introducing the system to apartment complexes, GS Engineering & Construction conducted a pilot operation of the Xi Soundscape in 'Xi Room,' a staff lounge at its headquarters, for one month in August.

Within this month, GS Engineering & Construction plans to apply the Xi Soundscape first to major residential complexes such as Maple Xi and Cheolsan Xi Heritage. The company also plans to gradually expand its adoption to other urban redevelopment sites such as Seongsu District 1 and Seocho Jinheung, as well as to newly launched residential complexes.

A GS Engineering & Construction representative stated, "Xi has recently been strengthening the development of brand experiences based on the five senses, including sight, hearing, and smell. Through the Xi Soundscape, we aim to enhance the emotional quality of living spaces and further expand the unique brand experience of Xi in various ways."
