Next year is the "Year of the Red Horse." Horses are regarded as precious animals that have maintained a close relationship with the Korean people for centuries. Their traces can be widely found in prehistoric art, pottery, murals, historical records, and throughout folk culture.

Korea Post Headquarters will issue 608,000 stamps and 280,000 miniature sheets themed around the horse, a symbol of passion and progress, as well as 12 types of New Year cards and postcards.

The New Year stamps feature a red-tinted horse galloping across a snowy field. The energetic hooves and wind-swept mane symbolize the vitality and life force of the coming year.

There will be four types of premium New Year cards (2,200 won each) and six types of standard cards (1,700 won each), as well as two types of New Year postcards (1,000 won each).

A "customized New Year card" that can be produced in a design of the customer's choice will also be available. The premium customized card costs 3,000 won per card, and the standard version costs 2,200 won per card.

In addition, Korea Post Headquarters will sell a "lucky card" featuring the New Year stamp for 1,000 won. The sales price of New Year cards and postcards includes postage, so there is no need to purchase and affix additional stamps.

The New Year stamps, premium New Year cards, and New Year postcards can be purchased at post offices or through the Internet Post Office. However, the standard and customized New Year cards, as well as the lucky card, are exclusive to the Internet Post Office and can only be purchased online.

Kwak Byungjin, Acting Director of Korea Post Headquarters, said, "Just as the red horse leaps forward, I hope the new year will be a year in which everyone makes a powerful leap forward."
