Toss Securities announced on November 27 that the cumulative number of users for its AI-based real-time earnings call translation service for overseas companies (hereinafter referred to as "Earnings Call") has surpassed 1.2 million.
This achievement comes about six months after the service launched in May. Toss Securities has upgraded the service by analyzing customer feedback and usage patterns collected during this period. In particular, the company plans to evolve the customer experience from simple listening to "understanding earnings calls" by focusing on features such as Key Points, Chapter View, and Earnings Call Collection.
Toss Securities focused on enhancing comprehension and engagement throughout the entire customer journey, from the start to the end of the earnings call. In the "Key Points" section, AI automatically summarizes the main points that investors should pay attention to before the call begins. For major companies that attract significant interest from domestic investors, the Toss Securities Research Center also participates to provide key insights. Additionally, a user voting feature allows investors to gauge market expectations for each stock.
During the earnings call, in addition to Korean translations, the presenters' real-time speech is provided as an English script, further enhancing the sense of immersion and realism. The previous background play function has also been improved to a picture-in-picture (PIP) mode, enabling users to listen to and watch the earnings call while multitasking, such as checking charts and engaging with the community.
The efficiency of utilizing earnings call information has also been improved. The "Chapter View" feature divides earnings calls, which often last over an hour, into key segments such as earnings announcements, guidance, and Q&A, allowing investors to selectively listen to only the parts they need. The newly established "Earnings Call Collection" page enables users to view at a glance the schedules for earnings calls of companies they own or are interested in, as well as the announcement status of major global companies.
A Toss Securities representative stated, "While the launch of the earnings call service in the first half of this year significantly reduced information asymmetry between individual investors and experts, this update focuses on helping customers perceive and utilize earnings calls as more valuable investment information." The representative added, "As a technology-driven securities firm, we will continue to advance our services using AI, with a focus on improving individual investors' access to information and understanding of the market."
Since its launch in May, Toss Securities' real-time earnings call translation service has provided approximately 2,000 overseas company earnings calls in real time, consistently receiving positive feedback from investors. By training and analyzing over 40,000 earnings calls, the company has developed a proprietary finance-specialized translation model and a post-processing module that verifies the accuracy of numerical data and technical terms, thereby enhancing the reliability and completeness of its translations.
