Suncheon City announced that it will conduct an additional recruitment of companies and workers for the "2025 Jeonnam Youth Employment Retention Incentive Program" following the first half of the year, in order to encourage long-term employment among young people and promote regular job placements.


The current recruitment targets companies located in Suncheon City with between 5 and 299 employees enrolled in employment insurance, as well as Suncheon City residents aged 18 to 45 who are employed as regular workers at these companies. A total of 23 positions are available: 9 for the first year, 5 for the second year, 3 for the third year, and 6 for the fourth year.


The Jeonnam Youth Employment Retention Incentive Program provides up to 20 million won (15 million for the youth, 5 million for the company) over four years to young people who are hired as regular employees at small and medium-sized enterprises and to the companies that hire them. If selected as a recipient, the support is as follows: 5 million won in the first year (3 million for the youth, 2 million for the company), 4.5 million won in the second year (3 million for the youth, 1.5 million for the company), 5.5 million won in the third year (4 million for the youth, 1.5 million for the company), and 5 million won in the fourth year (for the youth).


Companies wishing to participate must prepare the application form, company evaluation form, supporting documents, and worker application documents, and submit them in person or by mail to the Youth Policy Division by December 1.


A Suncheon City official stated, "This program can serve as a catalyst for helping local youth settle in the region and alleviating manpower shortages for companies," adding, "We look forward to active participation from many companies and young people."
